BRUSSELS, March 18 (Reuters) - It is normal that Greeceshould not rule out turning to the International Monetary Fundfor financial help, European Commission spokesman Amadeu Altafajsaid on Thursday.
Many top euro zone officials oppose the idea of Greeceseeking IMF assistance, believing the 16-country currency area"sproblems should be dealt with in-house.
But Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou told the EuropeanParliament on Thursday EU leaders should make a clear pledge ofsupport for Greece at their summit next week to help bring downborrowing costs for Athens or let the country go to the IMF.
